First Season at the Farm
June 2022
Crops in the Ground
Along with our mulch order we also had 5 cu yds of leaf post delivered. We added marginal amounts of this leaf post to the garden boxes in order to improve soil quality. The soil these boxes started with was all taken from the exposed ground after the concrete was removed. We were anticipating months if not years of planting to remediate the soil. More than half of the garden boxes received cover cropping with vetch, oat, clover and pea seeds.
